Final Project
I really wanted to go for one single tree and a grassy background. I like how the clouds turned out. I struggled with a lot of it actually. I kinda messed the tree up in many places, so hopefully I cleanded them up better. I started out wanting to do the leaves/flowers green on the tree, so I changed it so they wouldn't get lost in the grass. I do think it tunred out pretty good. It was a learning experience for sure. I used acrylic paint and I tried to use drarker shade of evetyhting to add shade and lighter colors to have a highlight.
2 Point project
I did two point for this so I could get the road in. I like how I decided to do the fence because it adds more to it other than the houses. I also really like how the trees turned out. I could have colored more of the sky or something to add a little more color. I used color pencil and pen to do this.
Step by Step Abstract
I used some of the chalk and the oil pastel to do this. I think I covered the paper to the best of my abilitys. I kinda like how I used a bunch of color so it's not bland. I should have came up with a better plan of how I was going to make everything go together.
Clay:
My idea changed a couple of times. I first, wanted to do a mug with a monkey tail, and a turtle body with elephant legs. Then, I was going to do a vase with just a turtle body. I finally, picked to do a cat and it's a little off but it has some charm.
PORTRAITS:
I'm excited to start this project because I need to work on getting the eyes lined up and not adding extra parts to the nose. I know I'll mess up a lot but I need to get better at it and I really enjoy drawing people. My symbols are my eyes because I have green eyes and it's my favorite color. My other one is my K' necklace because I wear it almost everyday. My last one is my hoodie because I always wear one.
Finals: zentangle beach
For this project I really wanted to use the water colors and I didn't want it to look realistic. I liked the zentangle look so I was glad I had the materials, so the ink wouldn't bleed into the rest of the paint. I actually really enjoyed this project. It was a learning experience as well. The sand could have been a little better but it doesn't look horrible. Taking off the tape was a little harder than I thought it would be. I liked the way all the colors turned out together though.
Close up Value Drawling:
I chose a lemon as my drawling, and I'm doing okay so far. It isn't really hard, but it can get frustrating while making the lines. I decided the greens and yellows shaded better together to make it look more like a lemon/lime I might add in some orange in the middle like you suggested. I started on marking where the highlights are at. I did end up adding the orange but I do agree with the suggestions from my classmates about the lines not really being able to be seen so I will work on adding more and adding more of the highlights.
Final plate:
practice plates:
I tried out some different ideas like the string and the carving out some lines. That on probably turned out the best in my opinion, but that could be how I printed it. I think the carving didn't really work out because I missed up with the carving knife. The glue one didn't work out because it didn't build up well.
sketch book project:
I decided to keep the colors cool and around the same shades. I really like the way the cover turned out, I could have added a couple more shades of blue though. The inside page could have turned out a little better. I should have added to the corners, but other than that it looks pretty cool too.
I liked the way the Relief Collagraph Printing turned out better than the Intaglio Inking Process. My Relief Print worked better because I didn't carve into my plate I just made it thicker with ribbon, glue and paper.
